Brandon Magana is a combat veteran with honorable service in the Marine Corps Force Reconnaissance community, from 1998-2006. Since his exit of service, Brandon has worked as a civilian contractor for the US Navy, teaching defensive tactics and combat skills to specialized units. He has logged thousands of instructor hours, and is honored to support the mission of our troops and country by teaching the fighting arts to increase their combat skill-set.

He started his formal martial arts training with Charlie Kohler at the San Diego Fight Club in 2004, and has spent nearly the last 20 years dedicated to teaching, training, and competing in martial arts.  In 2013, he was awarded his black belt by Rodrigo Medeiros (Carlson Gracie). He currently holds the rank of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt 3rd Degree, as recognized by the International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation. Over the last decade, he has been responsible for the planning, building, and operations of several successful martial arts academies.

Our Instructor Staff is comprised of a core group of individuals who have been working and training together for nearly ten years. They come from diverse backgrounds and bring their own unique perspective to the team.  All instructors have participated in training through the U.S Center for Safesport, as well as having completed the USA Wrestling coaching program. These courses require the passing of federal background checks as well as maintaining current CPR/BLS certifications.
